iPad: Self Portrait
I've taken another stab at doing my self portrait, but on my iPad this time. I used ArtRage for the iPad and imported the picture as a reference layer. Using the picture as the colour source allowed me to concentrate on the brush strokes. I don't really count this as an artistic endeavor as I am using the reference photo underneath to colour it; it's more like paint by numbers. When I do it again I will use the reference to sketch on top then try colouring in using my own judgement.

It's not easy to paint this way, though. I'm trying to do this with a picture of my daughter, and it's very slow going for me. I like the mysterious darkness of your portrait.

I'm hoping it will be easier to paint on canvas with acrylics if I practice on my iPad a few times.
