My dog is dying and I am absolutely miserable. We are going to the vets tomorrow and I don't think she's coming home with me. Yesterday she had two seizures and the second time I listened to her chest with my stethoscope and there was no heartbeat. After I shook her a little she started to come to. She hasn't eaten in 4 days and has a terrible cough, like she has aspirated the 1ml of antiemetic I gave her earlier (not likely) or she is having pleural effusion from CHF. Her x-ray from Thursday revealed a healthy, if slightly enlarged heart. I have fluid to give her subcutaneously but I don't want to stress her out with the needle.
